Princeton Review: 2025 Mental Health Services Honor Roll

By the YOU at College Team, 11/4/2024

As college students continue to endorse mental health services being a top criteria when choosing an institution to attend, The Princeton Review recently released its annual Mental Health Services Honor Roll to identify institutions that prioritize mental health services and support. With this report, the honor roll is intended to highlight institutions “who have shown a strong commitment to their student’s mental health and well-being,” and generally, the schools included in the report showcase:

1) Overall administrative support for campus mental health and wellbeing through its policies including commitments to staffing and student support.

2) Students have a campus quality of life that is both healthy and attentive to overall wellbeing.

3) How well a school is empowering its students to address their own mental health through education programs and peer-to-peer offerings.

After surveying 2,000+ institutions across the United States, as well as current college students, The Princeton Review released its 2025 Honor Roll last week. This year’s honor roll featured YOU at College‘s flagship partner – Colorado State University – as one of 16 institutions on the forefront of innovating and investing in resources, programming, and support to ensure student well-being is an institutional priority.

In the report, they note that “mental health resources at Colorado State University are thoughtfully designed to cover a wide range of events and circumstances, including adjusting to life at college, accessing support in times of crisis, and building skills to help prioritize health and well-being.” More specifically, in discussing our co-development of YOU at CSU, they state:

The CSU Health Network offers a variety of services and programming tailored for both individuals and groups. At the heart of that is the school’s digital YOU@CSU platform, which puts a personalized menu of easily accessible tools—hundreds of them—in front of students who may need anything from on-campus resources to educational content.
