Students and COVID19 Anxiety
Fox 31 - YOU at College
Despite the evolving changes on campus and in the conference circuit, learning does not, and should not, halt. Join a YOU at College webinar to stay up-to-date with mental health and well-being innovations in higher education.
From the moment COVID-19 began impacting the everyday life of students, our team has been hyper focused on one thing: pivoting to support students amongst countless changes to their higher education journey. As an online platform we immediately began creating and sourcing evidence-based/supported resources to help students navigate the transition. With traditional programming and outreach inaccessible to students, we have re-imagined our digital marketing tactics, arming administrators with turnkey and relevant assets that drive students to keep their well-being top of mind. We will be sharing the increase in access to COVID-19 content and the overall increase in utilization to the YOU platform as a part of institution's programmatic response to the pandemic.
COVID-19 has impacted students in every aspect of their college experience from academics and financial stability to physical/mental health and social connections. As a comprehensive platform, YOU is uniquely positioned to address these challenges and rapidly added 40+ pieces of content, including campus supports, that specifically speak to transitions and hurdles that students have never faced before.
Staff and faculty at all YOU at College partner campuses are welcome to join one of four weekly trainings regarding best practices to utilize YOU to support students in this time of change. Learn actionable ways to be a well-being advocate for your students. The training will help you better support students with the tools they need to foster their academic success, career goals, connections, mental well-being and physical health in an ever-changing world.
This is a closed session for YOU at College partners.
[Virtual NASPA Session] The unsustainable increase in demand for campus mental health services demands innovative campus programming and intentional cross-departmental collaborations to ensure success. This workshop provides an overview of a universal approach to well-being. YOU at College is a scalable intervention implemented at over 50 campuses. The session will highlight the formative research, launch, implementation, and research findings through a case study of YOU@CSU with specific emphasis on the importance of garnering cross-departmental and university leadership support.
The presentation will conclude with an optional discussion, including virtual breakout rooms, focusing on both the topic material as well as how to support social connections in light of COVID-19.
