At PsyberGuide, we’re continuing to build our network and partnerships with an exciting new collaboration with Grit Digital Health.
Grit Digital Health leverages innovation and creativity to create relatable and accessible mental health technologies. They are the creators of the YOU at College platform, which provides wellness support for college students by expertly curating individual campus resources, original content, tools, and assessments in one student-friendly platform. YOU at College was first launched at Colorado State University and has since been adopted by 30+ campuses nationwide and is with a reach of over 300,000 students.
At PsyberGuide, we’ve been thinking a lot about how best to engage with college students on the topic of digital mental health. We think that mental health apps are excellent resources for college students because they are generally tech-savvy, interested in and frequent users of technology, and like us all, they have mental health needs (the 2016-2017 Healthy Minds survey found that 36% of college students had a diagnosis of a mental health problem). We’ve been working to provide digital mental health resources for college students in a number of ways, for example by curating college-focused app snapshots, and conducting workshops on how students can use their phone to live mentally healthier lives. We are thrilled to now partner with YOU at College to further engage with the student community and learn more about what they want from digital mental health resources.
In the coming months, PsyberGuide will be adding digital resources to the YOU at College platform. We hope that through this partnership, we can spread the word on available digital mental health resources to college students and help those looking for support.
Dr. Stephen Schueller, PsyberGuide Executive Director, said “Both PsyberGuide and YOU at College look to empower people to make informed and healthy decisions. We’re excited to bring our expertise in identifying and evaluating digital mental health products to Grit Digital Health’s content.”
Dr. Nathaan Demers, Vice President & Director of Clinical Programs at YOU at College, also commented, “It’s not everyday that we find organizations at the intersection of behavioral health and technology with such mission alignment. We see immense potential to connect students with vetted behavioral health apps to support student well-being and success through our partnership with PsyberGuide.”
